Waggin’ for Dragons

Over the weekend, I went to the coolest fundraising event for a local animal shelter – Waggin’ for Dragons, dragon boat racing! It seems there are companies out there that will rent out their boats for fundraising events like these. So, if you live in an area with a river access, you might consider this for a big fundraiser.

Unlike the Tails on Trails fundraising event, I couldn’t afford to be a sponsor for Waggin’ for Dragons – we’re talking thousands of dollars. I don’t know how much money was raised, but it looked like a great an inaugural event. I’m already thinking about a team for next year.

Here are a couple of pictures …

I love this! Count me in to join your team next year. 🙂

  2. Denver has a Dragon Boat Festival every summer – it is one of my favorite annual events! There isn’t a canine contingent, although some people do bring their dogs to the park where it takes place. I think it is usually too hot and the dogs would rather stay home!
